Manufacturer Certifications — Revolve Construction St. Louis

CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster · GAF Certified · Owens Corning Preferred · James Hardie Preferred

Earned Through Training & Compliance

Manufacturer certifications are not a marketing purchase. Each one requires completing installation training, maintaining qualifying insurance coverage, and submitting to ongoing quality compliance review. The reason they matter to homeowners is concrete: they are the gate through which enhanced warranty coverage passes. Without a certified installer, you cannot access the best warranty tiers available on the products you are paying for.

Revolve Construction holds six active certifications across roofing and siding. Each is described below with a plain-English explanation of what it requires, what it unlocks for you, and how to independently verify it.

Top-Tier Credential

CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster

TOP-TIER CREDENTIALCertainTeed Corporation

What it requires

Select ShingleMaster is CertainTeed's highest residential roofing contractor designation. To earn it, a contractor must complete CertainTeed's full installation training program, demonstrate a track record of quality installs, maintain current general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and pass CertainTeed's quality review process. Maintaining the designation requires ongoing compliance — it is not a lifetime award granted once.

What it means for you

Select ShingleMaster status is what unlocks CertainTeed's 4-Star Warranty — a workmanship-plus-material warranty that adds labor coverage on top of the standard product warranty. It also unlocks the Integrity Roof System designation, which applies enhanced non-prorated coverage when a complete qualifying CertainTeed system is installed. Without a Select ShingleMaster installer, you cannot access these warranty tiers regardless of which CertainTeed products are used.

Owens Corning Preferred Contractor

PREFERRED CONTRACTOROwens Corning

What it requires

Owens Corning's Preferred Contractor status requires demonstrated installation competency with OC products, verified general liability and workers' comp insurance, and sustained customer satisfaction standards as measured through the OC contractor feedback program. Preferred contractors are audited periodically for compliance.

What it means for you

OC Preferred status qualifies your project for Owens Corning's System Protection Limited Warranty — an enhanced coverage tier available only through certified installers that installs a complete OC roofing system (shingles, underlayment, ventilation, and starter). Without a Preferred installer, you get only the base limited warranty on the shingles themselves, with no system integration coverage.

GAF Certified Contractor

CERTIFIED CONTRACTORGAF

What it requires

GAF Certified status requires passing GAF's installation training assessment, maintaining active general liability and workers' comp insurance that meets GAF's minimums, and ongoing compliance with GAF's quality standards. GAF also maintains a contractor feedback system — customer complaints can trigger compliance reviews.

What it means for you

GAF Certified contractors are authorized to offer GAF's Silver Pledge and Golden Pledge enhanced warranty tiers. Silver Pledge adds a 10-year workmanship warranty on top of the System Plus material coverage. Golden Pledge — GAF's strongest offering — adds a 25-year workmanship warranty with non-prorated material coverage and is only available through Certified contractors. Note: Revolve holds GAF Certified status. GAF Master Elite is a separate, higher designation. We clearly state our actual standing — you should be cautious of contractors who claim Master Elite without being listed on GAF's lookup tool.

James Hardie Preferred Remodeler

PREFERRED REMODELERJames Hardie Building Products

What it requires

James Hardie's Preferred Remodeler program requires completion of James Hardie's product-specific installation training, which covers fiber cement cutting techniques using HardieBlade saw blades, proper fastener type and pattern, required clearances from grade and roofing, moisture-resistant installation details, and handling of factory-applied ColorPlus finish to preserve the finish warranty. Insurance verification and ongoing compliance are also required.

What it means for you

Preferred Remodeler status is required to register James Hardie's 30-year non-prorated product warranty and 15-year ColorPlus finish warranty in your name. If a non-trained contractor installs Hardie products, the warranty registration may be rejected, leaving you without coverage. The 30-year non-prorated warranty is one of the strongest siding warranties available — but only if a qualified installer does the work.

LP SmartSide Certified Installer

CERTIFIED INSTALLERLouisiana-Pacific Corporation

What it requires

LP SmartSide installer certification requires completing LP's installation training for their engineered wood strand siding product line, including proper fastening schedules, flashing requirements, required clearances from grade and roofing materials, and paint or finish application guidelines. LP monitors installer quality through project registration and customer feedback.

What it means for you

LP SmartSide's 5/50 Limited Warranty — 5-year workmanship, 50-year prorated material — requires installation by a certified contractor. The LP SmartSide product itself performs well in the St. Louis climate's freeze-thaw cycle and resists the rot and insect damage that affects untreated wood siding, but that performance record only comes with a properly installed system.

BBB A+ Accredited Business

ACCREDITED BUSINESSBetter Business Bureau — St. Louis

What it requires

BBB Accreditation requires meeting BBB's Standards for Trust: building trust, advertising honestly, telling the truth, being transparent, honoring promises, being responsive (including responding to and resolving complaints), safeguarding privacy, and embodying integrity. The A+ rating specifically reflects a history of complaint resolution, time in business, transparent practices, and no unresolved complaints against the company.

What it means for you

An A+ BBB rating is an independently verified signal that Revolve has operated honestly in the market and resolved customer concerns when they arose. It is not a guarantee of perfect performance — no contractor can promise that. It is a documented record that we stand behind our work and treat customers fairly when issues come up.

Why Certification Status Is Worth Asking About

In a market where anyone can print business cards and call themselves a roofing contractor, manufacturer certification is one of the few independently verifiable signals of competency. Every certification on this page is publicly verifiable through the manufacturer's own contractor lookup tool — not through our marketing materials.

Before hiring any contractor, ask them to name their certifications and look them up. A legitimate certified contractor will be in the manufacturer's database. One who claims certifications they don't hold will not — and that discrepancy tells you something important about how they operate.

Revolve holds all six certifications listed on this page and has held them continuously through renewal cycles. We invite you to verify every one.
